We have a secret, the deal is that you can affordably take house style waaay up from say, a 5 to a 10 with one little trick. There is not a better hack than making a statement with an accent chair. According to Round Up: Statement Chairs on Style Me Pretty, "the type of chair you put in your home can define your style."
Personally, the best thing I found about getting a "good chair" is that it can easily take the most boring area and put in on showcase. After years of creating elegant and practical lounge spaces for events with Colonial House of Flowers and using the same strong pieces over (and over) again, we found that we value versatilely at home, too.
I mean, right? There's nothing better than furniture that works in multiple ways in multiple rooms. You get tired of it? Move it.
Here are six ways to show how-to use chairs like we have in shop projects so that you can use them in your home too!
Yours Truly,

1 – Living Room Seating
Accent chairs make great seating options in the living room. Place one or two with sofas, sectionals, chaise lounges, and loveseats so all of your friends and family have a place to sit. Plus, all it takes is a cart, basket, or a plant like a fiddle leaf fig to finish the look. And we have all three of these around the shop!
2 – Reading Chair in the Bedroom
My mama always told me not to read and study in the bed. Sleep experts also agree the bed should be reserved for rest and not work or even watching TV. We recommend creating reading nook in the bedroom where you can escape busy places like the living or kitchen for some sweet privacy. Place the chair near a window if you are like me and enjoy natural light. Pair with an ottoman or pouf then sit back and relax. It's been a long day, my friends!

3 – Paired With An Ottoman Reading
Give your chair a sister by placing it with a complimentary ottoman. And, let me ask you has relaxing ever looked so chic? Well, absolutely not. To create warmth and cohesion floral arrangements I recommend neutral colors. The same rule is true for this furniture pairing. Keep it in the monochromatic earthy temperature and color family to keep soothing and artistic.

4 – Star of the Hallway
One more incredible thing about a statement chair is the way it can put a surprise even in the most unusual places - like the hallway! Seating does not have to take a lion's share of the budget. By using the hallway to showcase (ut. um. store!) a chair you are also adding additional living space.

5 – Personality and color
There are times when your realize a room needs a touch of "something." It can even happen when you have finished your decorating plan. Chairs are a great way to add at touch of color and whimsy and personality. Distinctive details, unique shapes and colorful fabric are ways to infuse something extra into your space.

5 – Add Texture
You can remain traditional while offering a bold look with an accent chair - especially one that contrasts the texture of other key pieces in the room. Pair a wingback, for instance, with a sofa that is upholstered differently. Add a soft oak wood cane back accent chair with linen seating to a classic space to jazz up a bland room.
