The recipe for a perfect day? Chic details, a pretty color palette, and a breathtaking view. With the help of RSVP Event Designs, we were able to create dreamy florals at every turn for a Swan House affair that has all three. And, Julie Paisley was there to capture every magical moment in her artful imagery for one of her "All the pretty places Retreats."
Always fascinated by fashion when I found out a Botanical Print Off-the-Shoulder Puff Sleeve Gown was in the mix I knew the floral composition would need to be on a new level, a whole new level. The maker of the dress (Monique Lhuillier) is known for sophisticated luxury that is feminine, glamorous, whimsical and playful. I knew that the floral plan would need to be constructed just as artfully with tasteful use of color.
I used this luxe, exquisite gown that Raela chose as the inspiration for a dainty, refined floral recipe that is full of texture, tones and mood and heirloom garden roses grown by hand. One of the things I love most about floral dresses besides how pretty and well-crafted they are is that they showcase the a real flower's specific personality. For some neutral stems, all-white attire fits their flare. However, other blooms don't seem to connect with a plain palette, which is why I love to see my flowers with someone wearing a bit more color.
If you are wondering if this will work for you, you are in luck. I rounded up some of my favorite colorful images from the gallery, all taken on a real day. Intrigued by the idea of wearing a floral gown and planning flowers around it? I get it, especially when there are so many variations on this trend. But, you can make it your own. You can choose a muted aesthetic or one that has more of a pattern, just take inspiration from your dress and add material that genuinely marries the attire.
As you'll see ahead, there is now way to way you can go wrong when using fashion first when making floral decisions. Now it's time to fall further in love.
Yours Truly,
CGH
