If you're looking for a naturally beautiful, blank-slate wedding venue with the bones to make your wedding vision a reality - Musgrove in Saint Simons Island, Georgia is your dream locale. You'll see why with today's images -- all taken by The Happy Bloom. Set amidst a hidden sanctuary on the banks of Village Creek the overall floral design goal for this was to create a whimsical garden look that respects the history and beauty of the space. Thanks to stewardship of the Brenn Foundation who maintains the beauty of the picturesque waterfront site - we did exactly that!

The couple exchanged vows at an intimate river side ceremony. Then they celebrated by dancing under a beautiful tent amid the oak trees. The ever-talented Emily Burton who always plan the most organically pretty details in the lovelist ways shared a floral vision I just can't get enough of - one overflowing with effortless placements of peonies, garden roses, and smilax. The modern composition of blush blooms with pops of burgundy looked new and refreshing amid the the stately historical foundation of oaks dripping with Spanish moss and a maze garden.

Musgrove is a destination like no other.

Located in the Golden Isles of the Eastern seaboard, Musgrove is midway between Savannah, Georgia and Jacksonville, Florida. Is this heaven, or what? This venue is rich with history from its construction in 1938 by R.J. Reynolds Tobacco heir and philanthropist Nancy Susan Reynolds, to President Carter’s first pre-inaugural cabinet meeting. Mrs. Reynolds felt strongly that the Musgrove mission of family gathering and philanthropy carry on. In the spirit of that mission, generations still enjoy the lush grounds amidst the draping Spanish moss and the sweet and spicy smell of the BBQ pit. They gather as family, colleagues and friends and invite you to do the same.

I have only hosted one floral workshop that celebrates everything I am as an artist. The Floral Masterclass at Musgrove was very special to me and it was on these grounds.
